The Society was set up in 2008
to provide day-time study courses in Archaeology.
Our Course Tutor is Scott McCracken, BA FSA MIFA. Meetings are held on Friday
mornings at: Each session lasts 2 hours, including coffee break. The session style is friendly and informal, combining lectures, visual material and course handouts; debate and discussion are encouraged. Occasional field trips to museums and sites are organised. The Society is organised and administered by a Committee drawn from its members, and anyone who joins may contribute and help in shaping and selecting the Society's future programmes. Our fees are modest, since our overheads are low, but the quality of lectures is second to none. We have two study terms
each year: Just come along and enrol at the first meeting on 1 October. or just contact our secretary.
